In the forests of the Gomel region, there are many places that are distinguished by their natural uniqueness and beauty. And therefore, the traditional form of recreation for many residents of the region is spending time in nature. Creating conditions for their comfortable stay in these territories (about 90 thousand hectares of forests of the association perform recreational functions, that is, people constantly appear here to relax) is one of the important tasks of the foresters of the region.
Currently, the forestry enterprises have equipped 368 stationary places of mass recreation. Almost all are equipped with gazebos or canopies, sheltering from precipitation and wind, places for making a fire, cooking meat on the fire, parking for vehicles.
Many places of recreation are located near reservoirs, which gives them a special picturesque appearance.
For each place of rest, a responsible employee of the forestry enterprise is assigned, whose duties include maintaining order. In a number of forestry enterprises, the local population is also involved in this work, especially where woodlands are adjacent to settlements, near dacha settlements.
A mandatory condition in the equipment of the recreation area is the installation of special full houses, which contain reference information about the object.
This is a kind of passport, given that in a number of forestry enterprises, recreation areas have received their own names. For example, "Mushroom Glade", "Forest Lake", "13th cordon" and others.
Constant monitoring of the state of recreation areas, maintaining order and cleanliness here have turned them, indeed, into the most visited forest objects. In a number of forestry enterprises, it has become popular to hold family holidays, special events, for example, weddings.
